Alex and Cara met online during the summer of Covid, he asked her to share a bottle of wine in Brooklyn Bridge park while watching the dogs walk by with Wilson. The date lasted for 3+ hours with little Willy napping under their bench. On one of their first few dates Alex announced he was moving to Boston for a new job, Cara proposed they hang out every day until Alex moved by creating a NYC bucket list of his favorite places, she then also helped him to move up north. Over the next couple years they grew very close despite the distance, traveling the Northeast from New Jersey to Maine and alternating weekends spent together - her riding Amtrak up or him driving down. After 2 years of working in Boston, Alex and Wilson returned home to NYC to move in with Cara.⁠ ⁠ For the proposal Alex asked Cara to take a walk on the East River Promenade to get burritos in LES. He stopped at a graffiti heart on the ground and popped the question. Jade and Roger met on the failing social media site, Google Plus, just two months before it was laid to rest. They were about to start new jobs at the same company, and decided to organize a happy hour with all of the other new hires the night before they started work. A couple hours before the event, everyone dropped out for one reason or another. Jade and Roger decided to move forward with meeting each other at a much more intimate happy hour. Sparks flew and they instantly became best friends.⁠ ⁠ Five and a half years later, while picking their own bouquet at Hudson Wildflower Co., Roger got down on one knee. He worked with Goldpoint Jewelry to search all over to find an oval, old-mine cut diamond to create a one-of-a-kind ring that is as unique, beautiful, and strong as Jade. After Jade said yes, everyone at the farm cheered, "Love Story" by Taylor Swift played on the speakers, and the sky began to drizzle with tears of joy.
