We are a small but quickly growing, all-woman owned and operated company based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. We specialize in durable, ethically made jewelry, handcrafted by our team in the PencilWorks Factory. Our primary focus is on wedding and engagement, most of which are custom jobs.

Job Overview
We are looking for a vibrant, self-motivated sales professional who is enthusiastic about educating clients on engagement ring shopping. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of fine jewelry and gemstones and is a "people person" who communicates with clarity.
This role requires high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple clients independently. We are looking for someone excited to grow with us long-term, with the potential to move into a managerial position. You must be able to learn our specific styles and durability parameters to help design new jewelry effectively.
Key Responsibilities

Consultations: Discuss custom designs, ethical stone options, pricing, & timelines.

Design Guidance: Advise clients on design choices that blend the Goldpoint aesthetic with their personal vision and structural durability requirements. Ability to say no to designs that we will not work with.

Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact from the initial walk-in to the final sale. Provide clear notes and drawings or photo references to the production team. Help clients visualize designs using creative methods prior to rendering.

Client Relationships: Foster lasting relationships through genuine conversation, education, and clear communication. And following up with clear and concise emails and responses in a timely manner.

Showroom Excellence: Maintain a welcoming environment, ensure jewelry displays are clean, and manage phone and email inquiries. Handle merchandising and supply restocking.

Stone Sourcing: Coordinate with multiple vetted vendors to order stones and be able to communicate clearly using industry vocabulary.
Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2 years in fine jewelry sales and custom design.

Gemological Knowledge: Strong understanding of diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals (GIA certification & ethical sourcing a plus).

Technical Skills: Ability to explain jewelry construction, CAD renderings, and production milestones clearly.

Communication: Approachable and positive demeanor both in person and over email.

Organization: Highly organized multi-tasker able to manage multiple custom clients.

Punctuality: On time for shift schedules and client meetings.

Initiative: A self-motivated individual who can support studio workflow with minimal supervision.

Bonus Skills: Experience in jewelry making, teaching, or hand-drawing/sketching.
