How We Meet
Daniele and I met through mutual friends - a friend of his from college and a friend of mine from college were dating and living in Boston. In 2018 they were visiting NYC for a weekend and they gathered their respective friends in the area to day drink in Williamsburg. We met then and the rest is history. In the summer of 2022 we road tripped around the country. It was a super special once in a lifetime type of trip, and we collected a lot of photos and artifacts with the intention to put it all together in a scrapbook. Life kept getting in the way and we never got around to it, but not for lack of me constantly bringing it up and complaining about it. I had all but forgotten about it and accepted that it was probably never going to happen.
The Proposal
Over the summer this year we were packing up to leave for another little road trip, to drive from Brooklyn to his home Toronto, when Daniele presented me with a large book. He has spent the past few months secretly putting the scrapbook together, and on the past page was a photo of our front stoop, our home, our life. As I finished looking through it he got down on one knee and popped the question.
The Ring
He proposed with my mom's engagement ring, which was kept as it was. Liv made us our wedding bands and helped us design a special sapphire ring because we wanted to have something we created together.
